In this article, you’ll learn how MultiLipi handles billing when you upgrade or downgrade your subscription.

When You Upgrade

If you move from a smaller MultiLipi plan (e.g. Starter) to a larger one (e.g. Growth), you do not pay the full price of the new plan immediately.

Instead, MultiLipi calculates a prorated charge — meaning:

  • You pay only the difference based on the unused time left in your current billing cycle.
  • This ensures you're billed fairly and only for what you actually use.

You may see two charges in the same billing month if the upgrade happens mid-cycle:

  1. A renewal charge — for either the old or new plan, depending on the upgrade timing.
  2. A prorated upgrade charge — covering the difference between your old and new plan.

When You Downgrade

If you move to a lower-tier plan (e.g. from Growth to Business), you won’t be billed immediately. Instead, MultiLipi:

  • Issues a credit for the unused portion of your higher plan.
  • This credit will be automatically applied to future invoices, reducing your next payment(s).

You can view your credit balance directly on your Billing page inside the MultiLipi dashboard.
